Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 April 2026
Kampreneur ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013.
What we collect
- Takedown & claim requests: your name, email address, and the information you voluntarily provide in the form.
- Business listings: publicly available business contact information (name, address, phone, email, website) sourced from public directories. No private individual data is collected by our crawler.
- Server logs: IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
How we use it
- To respond to takedown and claim requests within 24 hours.
- To display business listings in the directory.
- To maintain site security and diagnose technical issues.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected] . We will respond within a reasonable time.
Interaction tracking
We record anonymous interactions (views, calls, WhatsApp clicks, website clicks) on every business listing - claimed and unclaimed alike - for analytics. We hash your IP address and browser identifier with a daily-rotating salt - we never store the raw values, and we cannot identify you from this data. The hashes rotate every 24 hours. Owners of claimed listings see aggregate counts only.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to support form submissions (Django CSRF token). No third-party tracking cookies are set. No analytics cookies without your consent.
