Our intimate campsite offers a unique camping experience with just 10 exclusive campsites in a private nature reserve.Conveniently located, we are just 58km from Phalaborwa Kruger gate and 48km from Orpen Kruger gate. Plus with no gate times and only a 1.5km drive on a dirt road to the campsite you are free to come and go as you please, ensuring you a truly unrestricted bush experience.We have an abundance of self-drive activities to explore around Hoedspruit. So you will never feel that you have missed out on something special about Hoedspruit “The safari capital of South Africa”Here at Maru Djembe we are making use of a unique self check-in system. So there is no need for you to feel rushed in anyway. Early or late, this system will ensure that no camper will ever be stranded along side a road at any time of the day or night.

At the campsite you will meet a variety of game and bird species. The property is fenced but not the campsite, so here are regular visits of blue wildebeest, giraffes, sabels and many more.
Each campsite is a haven of tranquility, featuring it’s own water supply and an adjustable grid braai area, and most boast a lush private grass patch. There are no electricity points but more than enough space for your solar panels and equipment. The camp has solar lights at night time.
